Rich Howland has been in the restaurant and hospitality business for 35 years, with a strong passion for wine. His wine education began in 1992 in Napa Valley, where he interned under Bill Hill of William Hill Winery, and then went on to work for The Wine Alliance. Rich then opened his first business, a wine bar and shop called The Vintage Market. After owning and operating two more successful restaurants with multiple locations, he shifted his passion and focus to Paso Robles, California.

Since 2020, Rich and his team have created a 46-acre vineyard estate called Oak & Vine, where guests can host weddings, corporate and social events, family reunions, and other large gatherings. Oak & Vine has 15 acres of five different grape varietals, such as Viognier, Grenache, and Syrah.
