A mother's love
As a child I and my six siblings grew up in the 30's and 40's. We were as poor as anyone could be. Food to us was a precious commodity and we were hungry often. We, as children, did not really realize we were hungry but our mother did. Our mother had unconditional love for us and we in turn for her. Now, at 72, I still have that same love.

There are many posts here telling of great love and some sadness at how children may turn out. I have found that in loving children and giving them good morals to live by as well as proper guidance they will grow to have the character necessary to carry them thru life.

In talking with a rabbi one time he told me the Bar Mitzvah was to bring the child into the adult world and leave the selfishness and egotism of children behind them. I disagreed and mentioned that I found children to be loving, kind, honest and unselfish. And, it is only when they reach adult hood that the adult attitudes rub off on them. Children are the blessed ones.
